Electric silicon thermal method:
In an electric arc furnace, lime (CaO), silica (SiO ₂), and coke are used as raw materials for high-temperature reduction reaction to produce silicon calcium alloy (typical composition: Ca 28%-32%,Si 60%-65%).
Reaction equation: CaO+SiO ₂+C → Ca Si+CO ↑
Aluminum thermal method:
Used for producing low calcium silicon alloys (calcium content<30%), with low cost but high energy consumption.
