Manganese Ingot is a solid, cast form of metallic manganese, typically produced by smelting manganese ore in electric arc furnaces and then pouring the molten metal into molds. It appears as a silvery-gray, brittle metal with a bright, crystalline fracture surface.

High Purity: Typically available in grades ranging from 95% to 99.7% manganese content.

Deoxidizing Power: Strong affinity for oxygen, making it highly effective in steelmaking.

Alloying Agent: Improves hardness, strength, wear resistance, and workability of steel.

Desulfurizer: Effectively removes sulfur from molten iron to prevent hot shortness.

 

 

Applications

 

Steel Industry (Primary Use): As a key additive in the production of carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steels (e.g., Hadfield manganese steel containing 11–14% Mn).
