Introduction of Calcium Silicon

 

Ferro Silicon Calcium alloy is primarily composed of silicon and calcium, with small amounts of impurities such as iron, aluminum, carbon, sulfur, and phosphorus. In the steel industry, Ferro Silicon Calcium is widely used as a calcium additive, deoxidizer, desulfurizer, and modifier for non-metallic inclusions. Its addition can effectively improve the performance of steel, enhancing its mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.

 

Furthermore, silico calcium alloy plays a significant role in the cast iron industry, primarily as an inoculant and modifier. By adding silico calcium alloy, the solidification structure of cast iron can be improved, resulting in enhanced mechanical properties and surface quality of castings.

 

In addition to pure Ferro Silicon Calcium, other elements can be added according to specific requirements to form ternary or multivariate composite alloys, such as Si-Ca-Al, Si-Ca-Mn, and Si-Ca-Ba.
