The production begins with manganese ore, which is first subjected to acid leaching to extract manganese salts into solution. The resulting manganese salt solution then undergoes a series of rigorous purification steps-including iron removal by oxidation and neutralization, heavy metal precipitation using sulfiding agents, and deep filtration-to achieve the required chemical purity. This purified solution is then introduced into an electrolytic cell, where direct electric current is applied to deposit pure elemental manganese onto the cathode. The deposited metal is subsequently stripped, crushed, and processed into its final commercial forms.
