Products Description
There are two commonly used basic varieties of silicon carbide material: black silicon carbide and green silicon carbide, both of which belong to α-SiC.
① Black silicon carbide contains about 95% SiC and has higher toughness than green silicon carbide. It is mostly used to process materials with low tensile strength, such as glass, ceramics, stone, refractory materials, cast iron and non-ferrous metals.
② Green silicon carbide contains more than about 97% SiC and has good self-sharpening properties. It is mostly used to process cemented carbide, titanium alloy and optical glass. It is also used for honing cylinder liners and fine grinding of high-speed steel tools.

Characteristics of Silicon Carbide material
1. High temperature stability
Silicon carbide material exhibits high stability at high temperatures, can work at high temperatures of 2700K, and can achieve high, controllable and reliable performance over a wide temperature range.
2. Hardness
Silicon carbide is a material with extremely high hardness, and its theoretical hardness is second only to diamond. Therefore, it has stress stability and thermal stability under high load and high wear environments.
3. Chemical stability
Silicon carbide material has good chemical stability in most acid and alkali corrosive environments and can resist corrosion for a long time.
